“Bijou” is a City Style Maisonette on two floors situated in the heart of the charming old mining village of Langley Park, only a 7 minute drive from Durham City Center.

Apartment "Bijou" is in a quiet location at the very heart of the village. It enjoys its own private entrance. The property has one King size and one single bedroom and large bathroom with shower.

The apartment is very spacious and tastefully furnished, it is equipped to make your stay comfortable. You will want to come back again and again. Our property manager is close at hand to help if required.

All the village amenities are within a couple of minutes walk. They include every kind of shop you will need for daily supplies. There are a number of small supermarkets, wine merchant and a traditional butcher who also supplies locally produced vegetables.

Restaurants
There is an excellent Indian restaurant with take out facility. A Chinese and Pizza take away - all will deliver to your door.

Of course there are, as you would expect, some lovely North Country Pubs where you will be made very welcome by the village locals. The Langley Park Hotel      (no bedrooms) is popular for lunch with local business people.
The New Board Inn is a firm favourite for dinner with wonderful views over the valley.

"Montalbano" is our cosy Italian cafe on the ground floor of your property. They produce homemade healthy options as well as a variety of freshly baked Italian treats. The coffee is the best for miles.

The neighboring village of Lanchester also offers a variety of very pleasant restaurants.

The bedroom at Bijou is very comfortably furnished with a "Sealy" pocket sprung bed.The lounge has Satellite TV, Wi Fi, DVD/CD player, a selection of games and is very comfortably furnished. The Dressing Room is adjacent the bathroom. It has lots of hanging and drawer space, an ironing board, dressing table and full length mirror.The kitchen at Bijou is complete with all you may need including a washing machine, oven and gas hob, microwave, fridge, freezer and all the usual small appliances. The bathroom is large and has a full size bath plus walk in large shower.
